On March 7, more than 100 Chevron employees convened in Austin, TX to hear from state leaders and visit with elected officials during Texas Energy Day. In total, over 500 proud oil and gas workers from companies across Texas came together to reinforce the importance of the state’s energy industry.
Employees heard from state and industry leaders, which included Chevron’s own Ryder Booth (VP, Mid-Continent Business Unit). “Texas Energy Day offers the opportunity to engage with our state elected officials to reinforce how the energy we responsibly produce in Texas matters to all Texans and this work benefits not only our state but also our nation and the world,” Booth said.
Employees then toured the capitol and visited their legislators’ offices to a share one-pager and speak about our sector’s many contributions. Chevron’s Jack St. Malo virtual reality display was featured in the Energy Plaza. Chevron’s Texas Energy Day participation was coordinated by the Chevron Advocacy Network, Corporate Affairs, and the Mid-Continent Business Unit.
A sincere thank you to all who attended and represented the thousands of Chevron employees in Texas, as well as our diverse business interests in the state and around the world. Read the Newsroom story to hear from employees who attended!
